Barunson’s MMORPG Astellia Online Will Release In The West In 2019 – Play Test At PAX South

Developer Barunson Entertainment has announced that after nearly seven years of development, their flagship MMORPG Astellia will finally make its way to the West with a game launch in the summer of 2019. Before its release, Barunson will hold several betas and allow fans to try the game in some conventions starting with the upcoming PAX South in San Antonio, Texas on January 18th.

Ashes of Creation Shows Off A Preview Of Apocalypse Castle Siege PvP Maps

Intrepid Studios has released a preview of the Castle Siege maps that will be added to Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse, the standalone battle royale version of the MMORPG Ashes of Creation.

The sneak peak below shows off the various siege equipment like battering rams, catapults, trebuchets, and giant arrows that players will use to siege each other’s castles. The video is only a map preview so no characters or actual gameplay were shown yet. Castle sieges will be a part of the Ashes of Creation MMORPG as well.

Black Desert Online’s Shadow Arena Battle Royale PvP Mode Is Coming On January 15th

Pearl Abyss has joined in on the Battle Royale hype! The Korean version of Black Dessert Online is set to launch a new battle royale mode called “Shadow Arena mode” on January 15th. Shadow Arena will set 50 players to fight against one another until only one is left standing.

Players will begin as small black spirits and find fallen adventurers to posses and control. Everyone starts on equal footing and gears in the existing BDO world do not matter inside. The goal is to acquire equipment and skills while destroying nearby monsters and supplies.

World of Warcraft’s Newest Zandalar Raid ‘Battle of Dazar’alor’ Is Coming On January 22nd

World of Warcraft is releasing its newest raid, Battle of Dazar’alor on January 22nd. Each faction will have a unique viewpoint of this new raid on Zandalar, but players will be allowed to transform into members of the opposite faction to experience both of the Alliance and Horde versions.

Horde players will defend against an invasion in the northern jungle of Zuldazar while Alliance players will launch an attack on the docks of Dazar’alor in an attempt to cut the ties between the Zandalari and the Horde.

Jagex Outlines Changes Coming To RuneScape In Q1 2019 – New Elite Dungeon, Mining / Smithing / Firemaking Overhaul & More

The year has just begun and Jagex has already laid out loads of the new content that RuneScape players can expect over the next few months. Community Manager Mod Shauny has showcased the game updates that are planned for release over the course of the next four months or so.

RuneScape’s 18th birthday on January 4th will bring back the celebratory in-game item ‘Anniversary cake’. The main event will be on January 7th when Mining and Smithing skills get a full rework. Mining rocks will no longer make them deplete, so players will not have to hop worlds to find them. The tiers of ore and metal also will require the same level to mine and smith as they do to wear the gear made with them. Player-owned farms will get improvements with newly purchasable animal stables and farmhands to hire.

NCSoft Announces Release Date For Mobile RPG Aion: Legions of War – iOS & Android

NCSoft is preparing to expand their reach in the Western mobile game market with the upcoming new strategy RPG/MMO ‘Aion: Legions of War‘. On January 24th, Aion: LoW will launch and be playable world-wide for free on iOS and Android devices. Excited fans can now pre-register on the official website. Doing so will grant launch day rewards.

Aion: Legions of War re-imagines the PC MMORPG Aion as a narrative-driven strategy RPG. The game is about building up a roster of unique heroes to be build a powerful party and fight against bosses in tiered dungeons. Players can get together by running guild dungeons and fighting against one another in duel arenas.

Blade & Soul Developers Give Some Information On Next Class In Development

Blade & Soul is well on its way to a major overhaul in South Korea. The game’s graphics are being upgraded from Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 4, as shown in the first half of 2018. In a recent interview with the game’s development team, new information about the game’s next class were revealed. NCSoft has not revealed the name, looks or any video footage of the new class yet – only a short description.
