Best Selling Steam Games Of 2018 Includes A Handful Of MMORPGs – Elder Scrolls Online, Warframe, BDO, FFXIV, Bless Online & More
The yearly list of the 100 best selling games on Steam for 2018 as measured by gross revenue has been posted and as usual, a handful MMORPGs have been included. They are the games that made the most revenue on the platform this year. The list is categorized into tiers of Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Likely due to the Summerset expansion in June and Murkmire/Wolfhunter content, The Elder Scrolls Online climbed from last year’s Gold tier ranking to this year’s Platinum tier, the highest level on the list. ESO is joined by Warframe in the Platinum tier.
This year, Black Desert Online jumped to the Gold tier from being in last year’s Silver tier. BDO: Remastered and the addition of the new Lahn and Archer classes can take some of the credit for that. BDO is joined by Path of Exile in the Gold tier.
On the other hand, Final Fantasy XIV slipped down to the Bronze tier from last year’s Silver tier. Bless Online has also managed to make it on the Bronze tier of the list. While the reception of Bless has been Mostly Negative, as can be seen with the Steam reviews, it is surprising that the game has managed to rake in so much revenue in the short time since its first Steam beta just a bit more than half a year ago.
