Cloud Imperium showed a brand new teaser trailer for the indie developed record breaking sci-fi MMO Star Citizen during this year’s E3 convention. The trailer teases the release of Alpha 3.2 update as “coming soon”. The trailer doesn’t show much gameplay footage. Instead, it features in-engine segments that shows off the amazing graphics of the game.
Developer and publisher PLAYWITH Interactive has announced that they will be releasing a new MMORPG titled Warlords Awakening on Steam in the summer. The announcement states that they are on the last stages of development and plan to open the game up to the public for Early Access. The Early Access is expected sometime in July.
The game will feature five unique classes (Blood Knight, Mage Psychic, Sniper, Assassin Warrior), three battle stances per class, battle pets, dungeons, raids, 4 vs 4 PvP and a pet breeding system.
The first major update for Life Is Feudal: MMO is coming soon and indie developer Bitbox has revealed the upcoming new content that will come with it. The highlights of the update are the unification of game worlds, PvP arenas, clergy, new outposts, slavery and guild rankings.
The game worlds will be united so that players can travel between them, but only once a week for regular players and once every two days for premium subscribers. Global chat will allow players to communicate and trade with everyone regardless of which area they reside in.
Manually gathering resources will no longer be as tiring with the new slave mechanics. Players can place up to four slaves per outpost to speed up productivity and earnings.
Wild West Online Will Release A Free Trial Version & Replace Faction-based PvP With Sheriffs Vs Outlaw
DJ2 Entertainment has announced a new set of major changes to the recently released Wild West Online. No later than June 15th, a new patch will be deployed that will bring the removal of “Mcfarlanes vs Steele” type of factions, the return of Sheriffs vs Outlaw as core gameplay, a free trial version and more.
Defined faction PvP was added when Wild West Online launched on Steam on May 10th and now they have chosen to remove the system due to its addition of unnecessary complexities to gameplay mechanics. As a replacement to the new “Mcfarlanes vs Steele” type of faction PvP, Sheriffs vs Outlaw will become the new two main factions in the game.
“All you have to do to get a one week trial key is…email me at sweathers at citadelstudios.net.”
It seems that new players are also encouraged to ask for keys to try the buy-to-play game with Citadel Studios stating that “if you just want to try it yourself, not because you have a friend playing, well, welcome to you! We hope all of you love Legends of Aria.”
Star Citizen, the highest crowd-funded MMO in record is offering a new bundle pack called The Legatus Pack for $27,000 USD. The alpha client of Legends of Aria has received an update that changes player combat and forces players to work a little harder to get around. The combat tweaks involve an increase in healing amounts, an increase in damage output of STR, the removal of mana potions and the reduction of base weapon damages.
If you’ve played an MMORPG, an easily accessible world map via the “M” key may be a feature you take for granted. The latest patch to Legends of Aria takes away that function. Instead, players will have the ability to purchase physical maps of the 5 world areas of Celador in towns and outposts. They will also be able to rename and place waypoints on the physical maps.
Before Dynamight Studios launches the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for Fractured, their in-development “anti-grind” sandbox isometric MMORPG, they have decided to release a preview of the prices and contents of the Pledge Packs. The packs range from €5 to €10,000 in price with the digital copy of Fractured as a reward for those that purchase the €25 pack. These are only previews of the packs and Dynamight states that they want to hear your opinions on the fairness of the packages before the campaign goes live.
Worlds Adrift, the upcoming “community-crafted MMO” will launch into Early Access next week on May 17, 2018. In celebration, indie developer Bossa Studios has arranged an extravagant way of “launching” the game by having guests play the game 150 feet above the ground. They have created a life-size skyship that will be propelled above the Chelsea College of Arts in London that will be fully decked out with twenty game stations.
