In the Netease Games annual conference, Chinese developer and publisher Netease has revealed two major releases for the Revelation Online IP in 2018; Revelation Online 2.0 and Revelation M. A new era for the Chinese version of Revelation Online will open sometime in the summer as the game revamps its graphics and introduces a new area that roughly translates to Wing World. The new area marks as the next and second expansion of the nine worlds in Revelation Online’s lore. The expansion will introduce a large new area that consists of dozens of floating islands, expand the game’s main and side stories, and introduce new gameplay features.
Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan is an odd cross-over between hack’n’slash MOBA and MMORPG that was initially released as a free-to-play game in South Korea. Its publisher InselGames released the game as buy-to-play in North America just five months ago in December of 2017. Now Insel Games has decided to transfer Wild Buster’s publishing rights to IDC Games, a publishing studio with other MMORPGs like Weapons of Mythology: New Age and Margonem.
The transfer has changed the name of the game altogether from Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan to Champions of Titan. The new publisher has also decided to use a free-to-play business model, perhaps as Insel Games should have done when Wild Buster first launched in the West.
Developer and publisher Webzen has announced that MU Origin, the open-world mobile MMORPG set in the same universe as MU Legend will no longer be available on Netherlands’ Google Play Store and Apple App Store due to new laws regarding in-game loot boxes. The recent judgement passed by The Netherlands Gaming Authority will be imposed on June 20th, 2018.
Webzen assures that this will not have effects on the service of MU Origin in other regions. There is no mention of any compensation in the announcement.
One of the largest and most complex systems in Bless Online is its taming system and Neowiz is quick to draw attention to the extremely wide array of pet and mounts that are tamable in the game’s open world. Neowiz claims that when early access begins, players will find 660 unique creatures available for taming. Does that include the humanoid NPC enemies that are tamable as minions/servants? Who knows? 660 is a hard number to verify. Granted, in my experience playing Bless I would say that I have tamed at least three or four hundred different creatures, so the number isn’t far fetched at all.
Black Desert Online has a knack for IP restrictive region-based servers and now the Japanese version is breaking the habit by what seems to be a low-key invitation for the world’s Black Desert Online fans. A Twitter user by the name of mellopachi has tweeted a picture of an announcement slide for a non-IP restricted test server for the Japanese version of Black Desert Online.
This is from Black Desert Online’s 3rd Anniversary Party that took place on May 20, 2018 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa (Tokyo, Japan). Extracted from the announcement image, we also know that players will receive a certain level of equipment that is prepared in advance to assist in testing, the pearl shop will be disabled, only Japanese language is supported and a bulletin board will be opened for posting feedback.
RF Online, the Scifi/Fantasy MMORPG originally named Rising Force has launched a brand new server named Pegasus on May 15, 2018. What is so good about this server? Well, this new server will be the first new server to receive the 4.25 update which re-balances leveling and questing, adds new quests and maps and changes map requirements. The new Pegasus server rates are as follows: 2x ANIMUS, 1x EXP/DROP/PT/FORCE. RF Online was originally released back in 2004 and to this day, the game still gets major updates.
KurtzPel: Bringer of Chaos, KoG Games’ PvP focused spiritual successor of the anime MMORPGs Elsword and Grand Chase has been quite active lately with showcasing the PvE aspects that are being developed for the game. Perhaps this is due to some misconception that the game will only offer instanced PvP arenas. Last month, they revealed screenshots and videos of several characters in combat with PvE bosses. They also revealed a new playable combat style called the Blazing Fist. Now they have shown a brand new boss with a lava-themed reptilian appearance and the “toon line” for a golem-like boss.

This will be the last chance for players to take memorable screenshots with the game’s community in Echo of Soul Classic.
