The sandbox MMORPG Legends of Aria developed by Citadel Studios announced that the game’s upcoming ‘New Dawn‘ update will be released next month on December 5th. The update will add brand new content, features, and the much awaited free-to-play option to the game. Free players will have access to almost all of the game’s content, “but will need to purchase a Citizen’s Pass to build a home, launch a player-run shop, unlock your bank’s full capacity, play on Community Servers, and more”.
Citadel Studios has announced that Legends of Aria has been updated with a Dungeon Expansion update that doubles the size of wilderness dungeons. On top of this, PVE players will find a new skill that will help prevent unscrupulous ganking. The spell is called Ward Evil. A glowing ball of energy, visible only to the caster will notify the caster when an outcast enemy is in range. The developers hope that “this will encourage those afraid to leave the guarded zones to check out the new dungeons.”
Citadel Studios has announced the upcoming release schedule for the moddable sandbox MMORPG Legends of Aria. A small update focused on bug fixes and quality life changes will come today on January 17th, and a Dungeon expansion update will come on January 30th. The game is now scheduled to launch on Steam early into Spring 2019. For more details on the dungeon expansion and Steam launch, visit the official Legends of Aria site.
Legends of Aria is a “moddable sandbox” MMORPG or ‘massively multiplayer online role-playing game’ that gives the community ultimate power over the world they live in with player-generated content. Stories emerge naturally as players explore the game’s worlds. The game offers hardcore PvP battle-royale, permanent character death and classic story-based leveling progression. Some say that it is Ultima Online‘s spiritual successor.
