On October 8th, Astellia Online‘s latest update introduced the new Class Evolution system which gives players the ability to “evolve” into one of three specializations. Additional experience points can now be earned by Level 50 players towards advancing their Star ranks in their chosen specializations.
Fantasy MMORPG Astellia is now set to officially launch in the West on September 27th. Astellia’s English version will be fully available as a buy-to-play game with a number of differences to the free-to-play Asian version.
Several classes that are gender-locked in Korea will not be gender-locked in the English version. Developer and publisher Barunson E&A promises to provide free one time gender swap vouchers when they launch alternative genders for the classes that do not get gender-unlocked during the launch.
Unreal Engine 3 MMORPG Astellia, previously known as Astellia Online will launch its second closed beta test for the North American release on July 30th, 12:00 am PDT. The test will run for one week in total, ending on August 6th, 8:00 am PDT.
CBT2 will allow players to partake in the large scale PvP battleground called Avalon, see the in-game cash shop and loyalty ship, and check out the updated Mana and progressions systems.
Korean developers Barunson and Studio 8 have sent word that the first closed beta test of the fantasy MMORPG Astellia will begin on June 25th and end July 1st. Pre-download of the CBT-1 Client is already available for those who have been invited to participate.
For the first 5 days of CBT-1, players will experience the game in its “default state” so the developers can get data on character and gear progression. After, a Special NPC will appear that will level up characters to Lv. 50.
Barunson E&A has sent word that its premier game Astellia is now available for pre-order and is heading into closed beta testing soon. The first closed beta even is scheduled to take place between June 25th and July 1st. Pre-ordering the game grants CBT keys, head start, name reservations, skin boxes, and more. Developer Barunson Entertainment has announced that after nearly seven years of development, their flagship MMORPG Astellia will finally make its way to the West with a game launch in the summer of 2019. Before its release, Barunson will hold several betas and allow fans to try the game in some conventions starting with the upcoming PAX South in San Antonio, Texas on January 18th.
2019 is already looking much brighter than 2018 has been for the MMORPG genre on PC. Fans of Western MMOs will have a handful of indie MMOs that have been in development for a long time to finally play and beta test. Nexon’s Q1 2018 Earnings Report Reveals Upcoming MMORPGs For Q2 2018 Pipeline (MapleStory 2, AxE, Final Fantasy XI Mobile)
Pearl Abyss and NCSoft had their turn of revelations and now it’s Nexon’s turn to show us how their games performed in Q1 of 2018 and what they have in line for the months ahead. The Tokyo-based developer and publisher raised a record-breaking ¥90.5 billion in revenue for the quarter that was “primarily driven by strong performance of Dungeon & Fighter in China around the Lunar New Year season”. PC revenue (84%) outperformed mobile revenue (16%) by a mile. China is responsible for a whopping (67%) of their total revenue for this quarter and Korea behind it with (22%). North America and Europe/others are far behind with a whopping (4%) per recognized region.
Astellia Online is back with another closed beta! Developer Barunson gave word that Nexon has begun recruiting testers for the upcoming CBT2 on March 27. On top of this, Nexon has updated Astellia Online’s website with useful information and fancy graphics regarding classes, game systems and more.
