We are about two weeks away from MapleStory 2‘s first English Closed Beta on May 9th, but before you get too excited, make sure that you’ll actually be allowed in if chosen as a tester. Nexon has shared the full list of countries that the game will be available for in its English form and a list of countries that will not be supported. If you aren’t in the list of regions with access, you will likely face IP restrictions. Of course, keep in mind that there are also the already existing Korean and Chinese version.
The rumors floating around the MapleStory 2 communities were true! Today Nexon has announced that MapleStory 2, the 3D counter-part of the old-school side-scroll MMORPG MapleStory will have an English release soon and Closed Beta is just around the corner. All wheels have begun turning as MapleStory 2’s official site and social media profiles become publicly available.
When and how can I participate?
MapleStory 2’s Closed Beta will begin on May 9, 2018 and end on May 16, 2018 (one week). Sign up is open from April 14, 2018 until May 6, 2018.
MapleStory 2 has been around in Korea for a solid three years and last year the game was also made available to download and play in China. So far, a Western release has only ever been mentioned in the past. The easiest and least requiring method to play the game right now is through the Chinese version. I re-installed CMS2 today and it seems there have been several changes to the registration and installation process. Here is the most up-to-date version of the registration, download and installation guide to play CMS2.
