Pearl Abyss has announced that Xbox Game Pass users will be able to join in on the exploration of Black Desert’s Xbox version on May 9th. Game Pass members will be able to jump into the game and choose from 10 unique classes and explore the region of Valencia. They will also be able to purchase Black Desert with a 20% discount on all edition bundles of the game and get a 10% discount on all in-game consumables.
There’s a new ride blazing through Black Desert Online. Kakao Games has announced that Doom, the fiery Dream Horse is finally coming, but obtaining Doom will be a true achievement for any veteran player. The new mount is the fastest and strongest among the currently available Dream Horses.
Pearl Abyss has announced that Black Desert Mobile will release the graceful Maehwa character on April 17th. The Maehwa is the female counterpart of the Musa. The female sword-wielder class specializes in weaving in and out of fights. She is known for being able to easily lock down single opponents in PvP.
The team behind Black Desert Online has announced that the game’s ‘Shadow Arena’, its first and only Battle Royale Mode will be taken down on April 10th. The short-lived PvP mode was first introduced back in January and had originally been planned to have continuous updates to keep it fresh and enjoyable.
The team states that the focus on new updates was deviating from their original direction partly due to the time being put on developing the Shadow Arena mode. Closing Shadow Arena was ultimately the option chosen instead of making partial improvements.
Four new classes are set to be added to Black Desert on Xbox One. On April 3rd, players will be able to play as the Dark Knight, Striker, Lahn and Musa. The preview video below has been released with the announcement.
On top of the four new classes, the Xbox version’s roadmap shows that world bosses, node & siege wars, the Kamasylvia, Valendia & Mediah regions, absolute skills, and awakenings are expected to be added in the first half of 2019. For more information, visit the official Black Desert Xbox site.

Starting now, a new feature will allow people to test out several different “Trial Characters” at Level 60 with 4,000 Skill Points available. A maximum of three Trial Character slots are available, but you can delete and create more new characters if you run out of slots. The characters can be tested in the Battle Arena, Arena of Arsha, Savage Rift, and Red Battlefield.
