The console version of TERA will soon receive a major content update called ‘TERA: Reloaded’ on April 2nd. The update will bring the adorable, yet very dangerous Elin Gunner. The arrival of the new class, as is usual, is accompanied by a leveling event in each and every region.
Other content coming in TERA: Reloaded
- New Gear Progression System for level 65+
- Guardian Legion Missions with performance-based rewards
- Anniversary Events
- New and returning dungeons such as Shattered Fleet, Lilith’s Keep, RK-9 and more
It’s not a flashback to the year 2013. Gameforge has announced that TERA EU will launch a Classic server on February 12th in celebration of the game’s sixth year anniversary. The server is expected to run for 6 to 8 weeks until the release of Patch 80 at the end of March or beginning of April.
The server will let players re-visit dungeons that have been closed or removed for a long time. Essentially, players will be able to experience what the game was like when it launched in 2013 (VM1 – VM3). You’ll be able to choose from the classic classes; Warrior, Slayer, Berserker, Sorcerer, Priest, Archer, Lancer, Mystic.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of TERA will receive a large content update at the start of next year that will release the highly desired Valkyrie class. On Tuesday, January 8th, the Valkyrie will join the fight and be greeted with a new level up event for new Valkyrie players. If you are an existing player and want a free Additional Character Slot, make sure you log in at least once before January 25th.
It’s not the first time that TERA (PC) servers are merging, so publisher En Masse Entertainment has revealed a handy FAQ several weeks ahead of time for those who will be affected by the population control. In short, two sets of two servers will be merged on September 18th, 7 a.m. PDT. En Masse suggests that players delete characters they don’t need since character limits on the new servers will force players to delete extra characters upon logging in.
New aerial content are soon to come to TERA. The game’s next big event called “Guardians of the Sky” will bring new Guardian Missions. New flight missions will task players with flying through the skies to collect orbs and jolt drones out of the sky.
A new clutch of dragon mounts will also be made available; Gloom, Dusk and Storm. They offer a variety of HP/MP-restoration and passive skills that increase Critical Power.
En Masse Entertainment has update the roadmap for TERA‘s console version with exciting news for the months ahead. Xbox One and Playstation 4 players can look forward to a server merge on August 21st. The Valkyrie is planned to be added at the start of next year.
In the latest summer content update, the Korean version of TERA has made the Brawler class (Fighter in KR) available for the adorable Elin race. The Elin is by far the most popular race in TERA so it’s no surprise that players want more class options for them. Elin brawlers have the same capabilities as other brawlers which includes a balance of powerful defensive and offensive skills.
There has not been any official mentions of the Elin brawler for the European or North American versions yet. It is a likely addition in the future since NA and EU both tend to follow the same class and race paths as the Korean version. Watch the teaser video below to see the explosive Elin brawler in action.
Decked out with an arcannon and combat machinery, the Gunner class will make its way to the console version of TERA (Xbox One and PlayStation 4) on June 26th. To celebrate the new class, publisher En Masse Entertainment has announced a 33% off discount for TERA Founder’s Packs on Xbox One and PS4 from now through June 18th.
TERA players can unlock some unique items for their Gunner with a new pre-launch event. Specific in-game objectives can be completed to earn different letters to spell “GUNNER”. When players complete the collection task, they are rewarded with a Golden Will Suit costume and an Arcannon of Mettle weapon skin. For more information on the event, visit the official TERA site.
